Only a few more hours until we bring in the New Year! Hopefully by now you know exactly what you’re wearing! Now it’s time to put on the makeup that will make you look dazzling all night long!
Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind when deciding what makeup to wear!
New Years is the one time of year when sparkly eye shadow is more than acceptable! If you want to put some sparkle in your look, here are three ways you could do it.
Try wearing silver or brown sparkly eye shadow for a sexy and sultry look!
If you don’t want your entire eye covered in sparkles, opt for a matte eye shadow with a thin line of sparkly eye liner around the full circumference of your eye!
If you’d rather leave your eye makeup simple, put a shimmery blush on the top of your cheekbones to get that slightly shimmery look on your cheeks.
Remember, sparkles are great, but keep them contained to one part of your face. If you’re putting sparkles on your eyes, keep you cheeks and lips fairly neutral. If you’re wearing a sparkly blush, give your eyes a more simple and sophisticated look.
Last but not least, once you’ve got your makeup applied and you look like the belle of the ball, don’t forget to snap a lot of pictures!
It’s that time of year again! What better way to celebrate than with a sparkly cocktail dress and a pair of show-stopping high heels that will surely turn heads all night long. One of this year’s hottest looks is a crop top with jewels and sequins, paired with a fun and flirty tulle or lamé skirt. If you can’t decide which outfit shines brighter, look no further than Refinery29’s article, “The Perfect Outfit For Your NYE Style Personality,” which features seven savvy Instagrammers who show how they bling in the new year.
These women aren’t shy of letting their personalities shine through. Nicole Warne rocks out in a black and white woven bandeau top and a playful high/low slit skirt from 3.1 Phillip Lim.
On the other hand, Aimee Song sports a patterned stretch knit dress from M Missoni as she twirls her way into the New Year.
If there is one night to be dipped from head to toe in glitter or wear a daring slit dress, it’s New Year’s Eve. It’s time to bling in the New Year. It’s time to sparkle and shine.
